H.S.A.A.

AI Ethics, Human Risk & Safeguarding

Human Systems Adversarial Assessment examines human-system risk in advanced, emerging or high-stakes AI deployments.

A specialist advisory pathway for examining human-system risk at the edge of AI deployment.

Overview

H.S.A.A. is a specialist CKC Cares service for advanced, emerging or high-stakes AI deployments where existing assurance may not fully address the way people experience, interpret or respond to a system.

It is used selectively where AI interacts with human decision-making, autonomy, wellbeing or sustained pressure, and where closer examination of the human-system interaction would be useful.

Positioning

Bespoke Engagement

Human Systems Adversarial Assessment is a bespoke engagement designed to sit alongside existing risk, assurance and governance approaches when a closer examination of human-system interaction is needed.

Use Context

Human Systems Adversarial Assessment is deployed in specific scenarios where human-system risk requires specialised examination:

Novel AI Deployments

Systems at the frontier of artificial intelligence application

Experimental or High-Velocity Systems

Rapidly evolving or testing-phase implementations

Elevated Human Vulnerability

Environments with elevated human vulnerability

Regulatory Grey Zones

Areas where regulatory frameworks are still emerging

When Human Systems Adversarial Assessment Is Appropriate

H.S.A.A. may be appropriate when an organisation already has technical, risk or governance processes in place but needs to look more closely at what happens where an AI system meets human judgement, behaviour, vulnerability or pressure.

The assessment is particularly relevant when the deployment is novel, the human consequences are difficult to anticipate, or existing assurance leaves important questions about the human-system interaction unresolved.
